Unique is delighted to announce that Premier Stylist and Artistic Team leader Matthew Whiting has been selected to compete at the Regional Heats of the Wella TrendVision Awards 2016.
Unique Artistic Team leader Matthew Whiting has won a place in the Northern Regional Heat of Wella’s prestigious TrendVision Awards 2016, in the Creative Vision category. New for this year, the category offersstylists the freedom to express their creative vision, and asks them to create a stunning look with an editorial catwalk feel.
In the first round, hundreds of photographic images from salons across the country were judged by the hairdressing industry’s biggest names, with only a few talented hairdressers being selected to continue in the competition. For the Regional Final stage of the competition, Matthew will create and a live model look in just one hour, and will then present his finished look to the judges, who will be looking for the very highest level of hair craftmanship, impeccable hairdressing skill, and a creative interpretation of what’s new, cool and inspirational to both clients and fellow hairdressers alike.
Matthew adds this latest win to his recent success at the L’Oreal Colour Trophy 2016, in which he has been selected as one of only six finalists to go through to the competition’s grand final in June, taking Unique one step closer to scooping the prize this year - which comes with national media exposure, glamorous fashion shoots, and much more!

The TrendVision 2016 Northern Regional Heat will take place on Wednesday 11th May, at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.
